Chief Construction expands into major development projects

Chief Construction recently entered the arena of major project development by playing a major role in the completion of a $100 million project in Lincoln, Nebraska’s historic Haymarket District. Chief partnered with WRK LLC, a Lincoln-based real estate and development company, to complete the project, which included The Railyard, Canopy Street Lofts, and a seven-story building to house condominiums and The Hyatt Place hotel.

The Railyard

This two- and three-story building houses some of Lincoln’s hottest restaurants and most sought-after office space. A large, open festival area teems with activity, including Husker game day festivities, live concerts, ice-skating in the winter, and more.

The Canopy Street Lofts

This 71-apartment, 203-bed complex features an upscale industrial feel. Located in the heart of the Haymarket District, residents are a few steps away from vibrant, nonstop activity.

Hotel and Condominiums

A seven-story building houses chic condominiums, and the Hyatt Place hotel. Located in the hub of the Haymarket, this building is a short stroll from the impressive Pinnacle Center, which boasts a nonstop lineup of sports, cultural, and community activity.

Chief Industries’ diversity an asset for large development projects.

The diversity of Chief’s family of businesses is one of the main reasons we can confidently take on larger developments. Arrowhead Steel, a department of Chief Buildings, supplied approximately 2,000 tons of structural steel for the Haymarket project, giving Chief greater control over production costs involved in the Haymarket project.

The ability to supply our own product, transportation, and more, allows us to differentiate ourselves in the competitive field of development. Plus, the Chief reputation for quality and proven success means we can be counted on to develop positive, impactful results.
